Hello! Hi! Katie here!

Long time no chat. It’s been a while since we’ve posted on our blog but we’re trying something new! We’re about to get real personal with ya’ll (sort of). In the past, we’ve posted DIY’s and small updates on the blog but as we are growing, we really want all of you to feel apart of this journey. I mean that is what small businesses are all about after all, right? The little personal touches.

We are going to (try) blogging more!! Mostly about the business and our personal lives too. There have been some major changes happening with our business over the past few months and I don’t think we have fully acknowledged them but damn, they’re exciting. Should we start with the big news or the little news?

Well…. WE OFFICIALLY HAVE INVENTORY! This has been a long time in the works… It has taken us a fair amount of time to figure out the process and how were going to manage it all BUT we finally just did it. Our thought process was just do it, roll with the punches and figure it out as we go. This has honestly been one of the best decisions we’ve made so far with our business.

Printables are awesome and we still will have some of those cards but it’s a more passive business. When a customer buys a card we get excited but that’s kind of it. We don’t get to package up their product or write a little note. There is something so much more fun and personal about writing in our customers addresses and shipping off our lil’ cards around the world. It’s more work but it’s way more satisfying.

We hit 2k followers on Instagram! WOHOOO! We’re starting to grow our own lil’ tribe. We couldn’t be more thankful for everyones support and putting up with our dad jokes every other day. Now on the road to 3k!!

With all these changes, we felt that our logo needed a revamp. We aren’t the same business that we started a year ago, so we felt that our logo needed to change with us. It’s crazy to think that we started our business as printable posters to printed cards.

This is definitely one of the major benefits of being a small business is that we can be so adaptable to our customers needs. If we notice a trend that our customers are requesting a certain product, we can adapt to their needs. We can change as they change and grow together

We’re officially going to be vendors at our first craft market in December! We’ve been working hard (well mostly Kyla’s dad has been working hard…) on a display and making sure everything is what we’ve been picturing. It’s been a lot of fun, we’ve always loved to craft and DIY so this is right up our alley! Come visit us at Summer Hill Winery for the Hills Night Market on December 1st, 8th and 15th!

After 4 years of slacking, heavy drinking and our fair share of procrastination, we finally graduated! Just kidding, we were all good students (and only drank to excess occasionally). All three of us graduated from UVic with Commerce degrees specializing in Entrepreneurship (how fitting). We actually finished our classes this past August but officially walked across the stage just the other week (four months later). It’s bitter sweet… see ya later medical coverage and hello student loan repayments!

Since graduating, Kyla and I both moved back to our hometown, Kelowna, and have been serving to make a little extra cash and doing B+A on the side. We don’t get out much…

Kyla has been working away doing photography and graphic design projects on the side of her other two jobs. The girl doesn’t stop.

Karly jetted off to Central & South America, visited Pablo Escobar’s house and lounged on beaches for 2 months. We weren’t jealous at all………………

But now it’s my turn to fly around the world. As of January 2nd, I’ll be off to SE Asia and Australia for a quick 4 month jaunt.

Come visit us at The Hills Night Market in Kelowna, BC on Dec. 1, 8, & 15th from 4-9pm at Summer Hill Winery.
